Technical Research

An extensive technical feasibility research has been conducted as part of the graduation of Ir. Leonard Schürg. The first prototype was derived from herefrom.
A complete report is available upon request. A poster containing basic information can be downloaded here.

Prototype

We have build our first prototype! It is only to prove the working principle, and by doing so, Leonard Schürg is now officially an engineering master and graduated cum laude on the solarbear project!

working principle prototype

Our team has been working very hard to create a first prototype, validating market potential and in the coming time multiple tests will be conducted to ensure the next prototyping phases, on top of that, the gap in between market and technique will be closed by envisioned product design and our natural working principle.

Help us!

Please take a few minutes to help us for the Dutch / Western research for cooling solutions for boating or sailing, and have a chance of becoming our first official product testers! The inquiery only takes a short while but is essential for the product development, please send us an email when interested in a true sustainable cooling solution.

Many thanks to Godevaert, the dutch magazine for boating.

Market Research

Preliminary market research has been initially done by the founders in January 2009, next step was a more specific market research in Surinam, an Emerging Economy, and this was explored during a minor project offered by the Technical University Delft in collaboration with the Delft Centre for Entrepreneurship and is currently also part of the graduation of Jonas Martens. Hereafter, a student group from the SIFE organisation is exploring further world wide potential.
