Technical Prototypes

Research on possible product proposals using the adsorption refrigeration cycle have been excecuted during two graduations and a multidisciplinary course. Prototypes of each proposal have been made, details of which are shown below. The solarbear team has attempted to combine overall technical skills (Industrial Design Engineering) with in depth adsorption refrigeration analysis (Mechanical Engineering), in order to come to a singular solution.



[5] Ongoing 2011 - Prototype "V" - for pilot in India, by ir. L.Schürg & ir. J.R.J. Martens. Tests show reasonable work, although ongoing research has to provide more exclusive answers. Tested in real circomstances in Portugal.

Market Viability

Target Market research has been conducted by Bachelor and Master students of the TUDelft. Most of which have been guided by the project initiators, tutors at the TUDelft, and the Delft Centre for Entrepreneurship. In order to test market viability for a Solarbear system, local market needs and social impact was researched.
